What will the money be spent on?
The Government has suggested a list of over 170 pre-approved interventions that the money could be spent on.
These are grouped in the following categories:
Regeneration, housing and transport
Work, productivity and skills
Community cohesion and power
Health and well-being
Safety and security
Education and opportunity
A Neighbourhood Board will be responsible for deciding how the funding will be spent based on responses it gets back through community engagement.
The Neighbourhood Board must work with the wider community to develop a Pride in Place Plan, which includes a 10-year vision for the area and the projects to be delivered in the first 4 years (4-year investment plan).
The Board must prove they have engaged with and listened to residents and have the backing of the community. Community engagement sits at the heart of this programme and will take place through a variety of ways.
